An RV owner was paranoid about have a puncture on his coach, so he went to a statistician to find out the odds of his having one. The statistician said, “Come back in a couple of days and I’ll work it out for you”. So the Winne owner went back two days later, and the statistician said, “The odds of you having a puncture on your coach are 1:2675”.

The winne owner said, “That’s not good enough. What do I have to do to reduce the odds to around 1:1000000?” The statistician scratched his head and said, “Hmm – come back & see me in about a week and I’ll work something out.”

A week later, the Winne owner arrives at the statistician’s office and asks him, “Well- – have you found out a way for me to reduce the odds of having a flat tire to around one in a million”? “Yes”, says the statistician. “Carry three flat tires with you. The odds of having four flat tires at the same time are 1:1287123”.
